What microwave measures will you need?

When buying a microwave, it is essential to know the measurements, whether for a freestanding microwave or for an integrable microwave. In the latter case, to adapt the device in the allocated space, you must take into account its dimensions.

 

Here is a reference to the possible measurements we can find (in liters):

• With a capacity of 17 liters: The smaller microwaves have a capacity of 17 liters, designed for a single person or a couple. Its dimensions are respectively: 46.2 cm wide, 29 cm deep and 32 cm high.

•  Capacity 18 liters: these have the same dimensions (46.2 x 29 x 32 cm).

•  Standard microwave, capacity 20 liters: these are the most common on the market. Dimensions vary between 44-45cm in width, 25.7-26cm in height and 33.5-34cm in depth.

• 21 liter capacity: The 21 liter capacity microwaves are perfect for medium sized plates and dishes. The dimensions are 59.5cm (width) x 38.2cm (depth) x 32cm (height).

• 23 liter capacity: 48.5 cm (width) x 29.2 cm (height) x 38.6 cm (depth).

• Capacity of 25 and 28 liters: they are perfect if you are looking for a large capacity with reasonable measures. The measurements are: 48.3 cm x 42.6 cm x 28.1 cm.

• Less frequent, the 36 and 44 liter capacity microwaves are suitable for large families.

In addition to taking microwave measurements into account, you must choose between the different types of microwaves: integrable or independent.

Built-in microwaves are integrated into your kitchen furniture. If you are looking for perfect harmony, do not hesitate to choose this option. The different sizes offered for this format tend to have dimensions larger than those of freestanding microwaves. To know the measurements of integrable microwaves, you must take into account several factors. Frame size (if there is one) is one of them, as it can affect the size of furniture you'll need beyond the niche itself.

If, on the other hand, you opt for an independent microwave, know that the measures are smaller and that their installation is easy. Indeed, it is enough to connect them to the sector.
