How to clean the washing machine?

Do you know the correct way to clean your washing machine to prevent the proliferation of germs inside it?

In this article, we will talk about the easiest and most effective ways to clean the inside of your washing machine and get rid of germs or residue.

The washing machine is the queen of household appliances

It could be said that the washing machine is the most important household appliance, can you imagine living without it? We can't either. It's incredible how much it simplifies our lives as it allows us to clean what we use every day - our clothes, shoes, and textiles.

this are the most and practical ways to clean the washing machine:

Vinegar

Natural products are always great allies for cleaning, not to mention their low cost compared to processed products. Vinegar is a great help in removing the lime that accumulates inside the washing machine. Get into the habit of pouring a dash of vinegar into the fabric softener compartment with each load of laundry.

Step 1. Pour ¾ of a bottle of white vinegar into the detergent compartment (not the pre-wash or fabric softener compartment). For normal washes where you replace fabric softener with vinegar, you don't need to use as much.

Step 2. Select the long wash option and the highest temperature your washing machine allows (60°C or higher).

Step 3. With the help of a damp cotton cloth, clean the outside of the machine.

Vinegar and Baking Soda

Undoubtedly, another super-efficient tip for removing lime is to enhance the effect of vinegar with baking soda. This solution also helps eliminate bad odors and rid spaces of germs.

Step 1. Add a small glass of baking soda to the detergent compartment.

Step 2. Subsequently, add ¾ of a bottle of white vinegar to the same compartment.

Step 3. Make sure there is nothing inside the washing machine and turn it on, selecting a short wash at a high temperature.

Bleach

Let's not forget the power of bleach; it disinfects, cleans, and eliminates odors from your washing machine with just one product. Here's how:

Step 1. Select the washing machine program with the highest temperature and make sure the inside is empty.

Step 2. Add bleach (according to the manufacturer's instructions) to the drum.

Step 3. Turn on the washing machine and let it finish the cycle.

Step 4. Check the inside of the washing machine and certify if there is any mold residue in the rubber or inside the door.

Step 5. Mix ¼ cup of laundry bleach with one liter of water, dampen a cloth in the mixture, wring it out, and pass it over the dirty areas.

Step 6. Program the rinse and spin cycle to remove any residue of the product used.

We invite you to perform one of these cleaning procedures at home to keep the interior of your washing machine in perfect condition. It's recommended to do this practice every 40 washes or every 3 months.

Remember that not only cleaning is enough; the material your washing machine is made of will determine how easily germs can be preserved inside it. Therefore, we recommend our washing machines with quality guarantee and materials that repel germs and bacteria.
