How to clean an electric oven?

How to clean an electric oven?

Cleaning an electric oven may seem like an overwhelming task, but by following the right steps, it can be quite easy. Here is a guide to cleaning your electric oven:

Turn off the oven:

Make sure the oven is turned off and cooled down before starting any cleaning.

Remove racks and trays:

Remove the racks and trays from the oven. Wash them in the sink with warm water and soap and let them dry.

Remove dirt:

Use a sponge or damp cloth to remove food residues and stains from the inside of the oven.

Apply oven cleaner:

If the oven is very dirty, you can apply a commercial oven cleaner following the manufacturer's instructions. You can also make a homemade solution by mixing baking soda and water to form a paste and applying it to the inside of the oven.

Let the cleaner work:

Let the oven cleaner work for the time recommended by the manufacturer or around 30 minutes if you used the baking soda solution.

Clean the inside of the oven:

Use a sponge or damp cloth to clean the inside of the oven and remove the cleaner. If there are any residues of the cleaner, use a little clean water and a cloth to remove them.

Clean the racks and trays:

Once the oven is clean, replace the racks and trays.

Clean the outside of the oven:

Use a damp cloth to clean the outside of the oven. If there are tough stains, you can use a solution of water and vinegar to remove them.

It is important to note that cleaning the electric oven should be done regularly to prevent the buildup of dirt and grease. This not only helps to keep the oven clean and in good condition, but it can also extend its lifespan.
