Mistake # 1: forgetting to measure your available space

The classic case: you move and you take the opportunity to renew your appliances. You forget to measure and you assume that the appliances for sale will work in your new living space. FAULT! If you are looking for an appliance to sell such as a stove, it would be a good idea to take your cooking habits into consideration. Someone who eats out often and prepares frozen meals at home will have different needs than someone who prepares all of their meals themselves.

Mistake # 3: Not having an open mind

Have an open mind when shopping for your appliances. Some people have read a review on the internet about a product and swear by it. Educate yourself and ask questions with an open mind. Just because your friend has had a bad experience with a certain brand doesn't necessarily mean you have to eliminate them from the options.

 

Mistake # 4: Wanting to be very trendy at all costs

Sometimes there are trends that people spend a lot of money on, but which are of little use. Example: the camera that allows you to see in the refrigerator from your cell phone. Awesome, you say? Absoutely! But ask yourself the question: will I really use it? If the answer is yes, go for it! Otherwise, it is better to abstain.

 

Mistake # 5: Planning for power sources

It sounds trivial, but when we move, we want to make sure the type of power supply to the devices. Gas? Electricity? If you buy a refrigerator with a water supply, are you sure there is a source you can connect to? Small details that will save you big unnecessary expenses.
